I started a thread a week ago over at BaptistLife.com entitled

Hymnody: Ira Stanphill and the Annunciation

and it is now over the 50-post point. Some of the content may be of interest to hymnodically inclined Mudcatters, especially the last few posts about the Watts hymn "I Love the Lord: He Heard My Cries" and its development in African-American sacred musical usage. So far no one has wanted to touch the Annunciation. Comments there would be welcome but you do have to register to post. Or here.
