Subject: RE: Regional Postings From: katlaughing Date: 13 May 99 - 09:23 PM Mick Lowe: I tried to email you at both addresses listed at your site. Both kept getting sent back with a message that one of the recipients was unkown and therefore it was being rejected by the server. This is what I tried to send to you: 'Tis I, katlaughing, from the Mudcat. Just had a chance to visit your site and wanted to let you know I think it is GRAND! Well done, great sense of humour, and loads of interesting stuff! I will be back often. Thanks for linking us to it in one of the threads. I didn't know you had venues listed on it. I will refer people to it when they ask me, now. While this isn't a venue, per se, you might find this interesting for anyone who might be traveling through Wyoming in June: On June 12th, Saturday, the Natrona County Grassroots Project (a human rights organisation) will be hosting their Second Annual "Wyoming Culture Fest", in Casper, Wyoming, at the Industrial Building at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds, from 10am until 6pm. There will be over 30 vendors with all types of ethnic foods; free multi-cultural activities for children; and entertainment, including bagpipe, Spanish dancing; Native American dancing, yodeling, clog dancing and the Mudcat's own sisters, bet and katlaughing, will be singing old cowboy and folk songs. If they get really brave they may fiddle a tune or two, also! Admission is free for anyone under 18 and senior citizens. Everyone else has to pay $2. Anyway, thanks for the link, again. It really is great! Katlaughing, aka Katey LaFrance |

Subject: Regional Postings From: Susan of DT Date: 13 May 99 - 06:45 PM I think we need some sort of regional bulletin boards - HEY MAX - where people would list what town they live in and upcoming sings, concerts, and festivals. we just had 2 Wyoming people discover that they were in the same town. I just discovered that Annap is about an hour from me and is right near one of the singing circles I have mentioned in past threads. People from countries with fewer members ask if anyone is in their country. People taking trips ask whether anyone is where they are going. These would not be regular threads that are invisible unless used daily, but would be accessible. What do you think? |
