All the websites I looked at, containing the lyrics to this song, have "from up to heaven"

Jeff Beck's recording of this song, also recorded by Skip James, has a line that says "from up to heaven". It seems to me that Skip James sang "from here to heaven", which I would prefer. I need era-help, please. Thanks. R
