When are these going to release a full length DVD - their show is so visual it's crying out for one.

Really great show full of excitement and great music, dance and song.

The dance project was great, the human beat box jonno was terrific as where both the dancers - "firefly" and "???".

Damien's introductions were spot on and the music was its usual high standard. Give a cheer for Jim, first time on stage with Dog Rose and Nicola (?) first time on stage with the cloggers. Tip from me - when doing high energy clogging I reckon its best to have a strappy top and not a strapless one.

Great to see some 'catters; never met "Deirdre" before, turns out we parked together along with HFA and Lady Pamela.

Well done Bryony and all the gang.

Hello everyone, just a quick reminder about this tomorrow night!

I think I probably used most of my revision periods as an excuse to do more gigs and use studio time......Your daughter is obviously much wiser than I was Villan!

See you in row 3 Duncan!

Bryony
xx

After all that, it seems she can't go as she will be studying before she takes her exams in May.
We will catch some where nearer, when the exams are all ov er.
Must say, its great to see a teenager taking responsibility.

Most impressed with the booking office at the Theatre Royal.
Their website has an excellent seating-plan-availability-layout.
Still being one to prefer actually talking to someone in person,
I didn't opt to buy online...
I phoned at 10am to find they open for business bang on the advertised time
- found the chap on duty MOST helpful, efficient and pleasant.
The tickets were promised by post and landed through the letterbox the very next morning, first thing - excellent!

Bry - m' Lady P and I will be heckling from the centre of row three.
Looking forward to this 'un! - Duncan

Well I just showed my 16 year old daughter the video, and she was well impressed (that says a lot)
Great stuff. Suppose i will have to take her now as she is already nagging me to go.
Cheers
Les

Hello,

English folk powerhouse The Demon Barbers teams up with some of England's most exciting young traditional dancers to create a high energy music and dance spectacular.

But this show also features the world premiere of a pilot project created by Damien Barber.

Damien and some of the roadshow's clog dancers have been working with choreographers and dancers from Yorkshire Dance to create a stunning fusion between traditional clog dance, break dance, beat box and percussion.

A short piece was performed in September which can be seen here:

demon barbers clog pilot

Be the first to see it live in the roadshow here:

7th May 2008

8pm

York Theatre Royal
St. Leonard's Place,
York,
YO1 7HD
01904 623568

Tickets £12/£5

Hope some of you can make it,

Cheers,
Bryony
