Kim, lovely version :-) It's not easy song for singing, specialy end of melody is going high. This one is really nice - very mystical feel and very pure :-)))) I would just personaly make song stronger as it is progress.

it's not possible to send me PM. I am not registrated here. I was there like a Maffet some years ago (harpist from Prague) but sadly I lost old email and login.

Effsee. I wrote to Jo Records again asking them for playlist of this CD or I will simply try to order and I will see if it is what I looking for. Sadly they havent playlist anywere on their site. :-( Only way how I can truly recognize it is to have playlist.

Thank you, thank you ...:-) I have to admit that Beautiful Jo records were one of my possible targets (I had up to 5 diffrent tips which CD it should be, but when I wrote to all companies, nobody answered me, so I wasnt sure and I thought that might be more easy to ask here.
Names of artists are for me great treasure. Now I thing I will try to search directly after names. :-)))) I really love that recording. It's one of my treasures. It seems to me old, because it's maybe seems to me ages when I was in Cornwall. :-))) But old cassette is aging and loosing quality and I want to buy CD version to keep it and of course I will love to identify some songs

The recording was produced for Past Times, a gift shop chain, produced by Tim Healey for Beautiful Jo Records in 1996. Performers were Emma Christian, Moira Craig, Michael Henry, Julie Murphy, Peter Acty, Chris Leslie, Ceri Matthews and Jonathan Shorland.

The recording is therefore not 'very very old', nor was it a compilation - the performers were put together for the purpose of producing this album.

There were several other albums produced for Past Times by Beautiful Jo records.

Hello to all

I own very old cassete without cover and I really love some songs and want to identify them, so I started to research, but I am not very succesfull. Please, if anyone will recognize it, just write me your ideas what CD it can.

There is label on cassete Celtic airs and ballads and it was probably edited before year 1997, because I recived it during holidays in Cornwall when I exchanged with friend cassetes in our walkmans.

I identified few songs. There is cornish song Nightingale, also I love my love (Maid in Bedlam, which is my favorite cornish song) Both songs are in version without voice.
I also recognized Suzy McGuire sung by a man, which is the final song of all recording. Another recognized song is love song with melody from Foggy Dew.

All vocals are very natural and traditional, like in home-like manner. (I love it :-). I recognize some voices, but I cant match them to names, so I suspect that there are some really known singers there.
Also most of songs is in some celtic language - I thing rather than gaelic it should be welsh or cornish, but of course Suzy Mc Guire is in irish. Vocals are on first place, but there is also one brilliant low flute (I wander) solo (or flute?) - some lovely slow air.

Please, I know that this recording is very very old and there are thousands of this compilations but maybe some of you will recognize choice of songs or at least give me some idea where to continue with my investigation. Thank you very much
