Subject: Lyr Req: Pay Day (if that's what it's called) From: aranmexican Date: 08 May 08 - 05:39 AM On at least two occasions, I heard Phil Thurman singing a song called 'Pay Day' (I think) on May morning in the King's Arms in Oxford, where he used to substitute 'pay day' with 'May Day'. Below are all the lyrics I can remember, from the chorus, and there are gaps in it, and inaccuracies I'm sure. It's got a driving guitar rhythm... Anyone recognise the song, or know the rest of the lyrics, or where I'd get a recording? Thanks. "I'm gonna dance all night .... .... They'll be trying to keep us apart Even after all the ... But there's too many broken hearts Gonna make sure that I'm not one On pay day." |
