Subject: RE: LIFEBOAT CD - ALL your fave artists! From: GUEST,Tom Bliss Date: 13 May 08 - 02:38 AM Ha - well spotted! That's actually a swipe and plink from the Cromer website - but an understandable mistake in the circs I guess. |

Subject: RE: LIFEBOAT CD - ALL your fave artists! From: gnomad Date: 12 May 08 - 02:45 PM Tom's link indicates that the funds are being raised for the Cromer Lifeboat Crew Fund, I would take that to be a specific local use of funds within the RNLI.Cromer Lifeboat I would therefore not expect this to directly benefit lifeboats in Ireland, though to quote the RNLI website, "The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland." a rare example of an institution which functions in both countries' waters. Several good artists on that recording, looks like pretty good value even without the charity element. |

Subject: RE: LIFEBOAT CD - ALL your fave artists! From: Celtaddict Date: 12 May 08 - 01:38 PM It does look good. I gather it is to benefit the Irish lifeboat system? I can't find a 'Cromer thread' so would like more information, please. |
