i have heard that there is an article about me and my plight
on the Sing Out! magazine news web page...and that there is
a link there to Rapaire's address for donations to be sent.

I appreciate all the out pouring of help and just want to
let you know how much it means to nme. I am on the way to
play at a little folk fest in oregon that folky frank is
putting together in Toledo...a street fair, antique sale
and also car and quilt show...Toledo oregon is just a few
miles inland from Newport. The beat goes on.....

well - I figured more threads wouldl bring more attention to the auction - once they are in the auction then they'd see all the items.   The point is to get attention and bids.

No rule Sorcha, but if we're using the 'Cat to do this I thought it only right to make some contribution to the Mudcat fund. Simply my thoughts when I put up my auction item.

I'd suggest one thread for 'Auction Items for Open Mike Fund'. It might seem good to have separate threads for everything, but once people are in a thread, they can view everything instead of having to click on separate threads, all of which only tell them they need to look elsewhere (the auction).

Just my opinion. You can start loads of threads, but I'm not going to read all of them when I can just go look in the auction.
