Billy, I've played several Morgan guitars and they're quite good. If you're buyin Canadian, and you wanna go with a bluegrass sound, you're in the right direction. On the other hand, that Roger guy's suggestion is SOLID!

Try some of the new English luthiers - perhaps Kincade in Bristol, or Atkins in Canterbury, or Rob Armstrong.

Billy,

I don't know about Morgan guitars. If I had $2,000 American, I'b buy a Taylor 814ce. It is a beautiful sounding guitar; solid wood, rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. It has Taylors pick-up system that gives you a great acoustic sound even when you are plugged in.

'Twould be a great road warrior.

I'm looking for feedback on Morgan guitars (out of Vancouver BC I think). I've been told they're quite the instrument, and I'm wondering if there are any Morgan owners out there, or people who've played them and comparable guitars, to give me their perspective. I'm looking for a better quality guitar for solo performance purposes. Presently I'm playing my old '70's Takamine Martin copy, which I'm attached to for sentimental reasons, but the fact is that tone wise she ain't gettin' the job done. I'm looking at around the $2000.00 Cdn range. I'd sure appreciate any suggestions. Billy
