Back in 1979/80 we had a guest duo at the DVLC (as it was in those days) Folk Club and they sang a song about the problems of having a private zoo at home.
I can remember one line about the next door neighbour.
"She wants to know why she's got gerbils when the rest of the street have got mice".

Anybody have any clues as to the song or even who the duo were?
