Subject: RE: Jez Lowe evening in Devon - free! From: BB Date: 02 Sep 08 - 03:43 PM Whatever makes you think I'm defensive? - I was merely agreeing with The Admiral. I know exactly how brilliant he is - as I'm sure do most people here. I have nothing to do with organising the festival as such, only the Friday night, and to be honest, most of the weekend is a series of concerts rather than what I would call a folk festival. But there hasn't been much publicity for the Friday night, so I'm trying to give it a bit of a boost - a poor audience for Jez would be very disappointing. For those who might be interested in the rest of the weekend as well, there are sets (mostly only one) from Chris Millington, Annabelle Chovstek, Jim Moray, Devon Sproule Band, M'Larkey, Steve Tilston, Bella Hardy, Tarras, Debby McClatchy, John Tams & Barry Coope, Transglobal Underground, Seth Lakeman, The Dambuskers, Singing Sous Chefs, Dragonsfly, Jenna, Fiddlebix, Wing and Prayer, Last Night's Fun, Eddi Reader and Bellowhead. More info. from this website Barbara |

Subject: Jez Lowe evening - free! From: BB Date: 30 Aug 08 - 02:55 PM Jez Lowe will be performing as the guest artist at the first night of the North Devon Folk Festival in a folk club-style evening with a few local performers. And it's free - as a taster for the rest of the festival - which isn't! It's at The Pavilion, Ilfracombe, so if you live anywhere vaguely near or you're going to be visiting North Devon next weekend, don't miss this great opportunity! If you want to know more, PM me.
