I am a Yahoo mail users, and I never have had this problem. The Yahoo-mail webpage comes up only when I ask it to ~ both at home and ar work, on two different Dell Dimension 2400 PCs

I suppose this is too obvious to need saying, but... you have tried clearing out your cache & history, and dumping all your cookies? Otherwise maybe set your firewall to bar Yahoo?

What OS are you using, Bo? I use YahooMail on Macs, both at home and at work, and also on a Windows laptop, and never have any trouble at all!

Do you get the same problems whichever browser you use? Apart from Safari and Firefox, there's also now Camino, a new Mac one - all three of which work fine for me.

Saro - are you Windows or Mac, Vista/XP or Tiger/Leopard? I've never heard of this problem before -

I work with a Mac and Yahoo does not work well on this platform.
If I want to adjust my account or check if missing mail has been put in a Spam box it takes me several tries to log on to the account page. It wont let me log out but, fortunately, it seems to log out for me if I don't talk to it for a short while.
My email is a BTOpenworld account and any attempt to get to their website always takes me to Yahoo. It's a pain in the bottom.
I have to put up with it or change to another provider. There seems to be nothing I can do about it.
Good luck.

If I had read your post properly I would have seen that you don't have a Yahoo account. I'll re-phrase the question as:

Does any other user log on to Yahoo on your computer?

I have the same problem. It's most annoying. I've searched for various settings but not found the solution.

My wife uses Yahoo for her e-mails but hasn't checked them for a while. Coincidentally, I haven't had the problem for a while. Perhaps the computer still thinks she is logged on after she has been using Yahoo, even though she thinks she has logged off.

Do you or another person use Yahoo e-mail?

I keep getting the webpage for Yahoo Mail appearing on my screen, when I'm in the middle of doing something else - like typing this note! I don't have a Yahoo account - has anyone else experienced this problem, and know how I can stop the annoying thing from turning up every so often?

Saro
