From: Cool Beans Date: 26 Sep 08 - 02:36 PM Last time I was in Rome I was hanging out one night at the Piazza Navona and someone in the crowd started playing "Buckdancers Choice" on the guitar. He was good, too. Wherever people congregate you're likely to hear some homemade music, although the quality wil lvary. |

Subject: RE: Folk Music in rome? From: Fred McCormick Date: 26 Sep 08 - 10:42 AM I presume you mean English language folk music. I can't help you there unfortunatly, but Italian traditional music is wonderful and richly varied. If you can run any to earth in Rome, I think you'll find it well worth the effort. |

Subject: RE: Folk Music in rome? From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 26 Sep 08 - 10:35 AM Last year I visited Rome and learned one approach. Go to a newstand and buy a magazine called 'Roma Che' for 1 euro. In the back of it is a calendar of events. Look under International. Or was it World? Using Roma Che we found a wonderful harp concert which was one of the high points of our trip. |
