Subject: RE: Llive blog of Musicport Festival From: GUEST,Projector Mike from Cloudbase Date: 21 Oct 08 - 06:48 AM Thanks to all who visited the cloudbase room, we thought it a great success, especially Friday night the atmosphere was fantastic. Security and staff were really friendly and the sound was better than the main room. Bigup to me bezzy mate Slim for the beautiful images and projections and a big apology from me for the projections in the main room. The sound guys took down my screens down and the new projectors worked only in grey and kind of white. Oh well... still got some very kind feedback. I thought the building was a great success and really look forward to next year. Mike.x |

Subject: Llive blog of Musicport Festival From: GUEST,Kate Longmate Date: 09 Oct 08 - 04:49 AM I know some Mudcatters do visit Musicport and we have a few Mudcat friendly artists, so I thought this might be if interest here! Only one week to go until Musicport lands in it's new home at Bridlington Spa and there is a shiny new festival blog at http://musicportfestival.blogspot.com We thought a blog would be a fun way to record the festival and a way to have an interactive memoir by festival staff, performers and audience... we intend (mobile and internet signals pending!) to bring you live photos and coverage of the festival as it unfolds and if you are there you are welcome to join in! We will doubtless add more and post reflections after the event too and we hope that people will join us and share their photos and memories, creating a record that we can all look back on in the run up to the 2009 festival! 'So, how can I become an author?' I hear you ask... If you want to join us and blog your way through Musicport, you need to to be added as an 'author' simply send an email to musicportblog@hotmail.co.uk and then follow the instructions in the email invitation you receive. It may take us a little while to respond to requests, but we will add you as soon as we can! If you simply want to comment on pictures and stories already posted, you can do so by clicking on the word 'comments' at the bottom of each post. Of course if you can't make it to Bridlington, you can follow the festival's progress over the weekend and whet your appetite for 2009! See you all in Brid' or on the blog! Kate x |
