Subject: RE: Baker Street trivia (saxophone) From: MichaelM Date: 14 Jun 99 - 10:33 PM The liner notes list "Raphael Ravenscroft" as the saxophone player. It sounds suspiciously like a pseudonym to me. Michael |

Subject: RE: Baker Street trivia (saxophone) From: Rick Fielding Date: 14 Jun 99 - 11:36 AM Peter T , that is one of the finest pop records extant. I'm checking for the sax player. P.S. I once did a session for Declan O'Dougherty who engineered it. Big thrill for me. |

Subject: RE: Baker Street trivia (saxophone) From: Peter T. Date: 14 Jun 99 - 11:18 AM Sorry, sung by Gerry Rafferty. Yours, Peter T. P.S. To enliven boring request thread: I once lived on Baker Street, and next door was a Japanese restaurant that specialized in fugu fish, fish that have to be trimmed carefully because some organ in them is poisonous and can kill you. One day an intrepid reporter asked the head chef (whose English was not very good) what they did with the fugu fish that "failed the cut" so to speak. "O" he replied, "deadly poison taken away by London plumbing system!" The restaurant was closed, and never reopened. |
