Subject: Lyr Add: PEENIE PEN PONE From: GUEST,jkeehn@hvc.rr.com Date: 30 Nov 04 - 03:47 PM Peenie Pen Peenie Pen Peenie Pen Pone Was a little old woman who lived all alone. She lived all alone in a little brown house On a little brown road that looked like a little brown tippity toad. In the house was a bed and a chair and a broom and I think that was all Except for the table that stood by the wall And the little red fire that burned in the grate And the little blue clock that ticked early and late. Peenie Pen what do you do every day For you live all alone and you're too old to play? I rise in the morning, I rise with the sun, and poke my red fire and bake Sally Lun. And then I go round to my little brown gate and pat my dog Pim on his little brown pate. And then I go round to my little pink pig and feed him on bees and beetles to make him grow big. And then I go gather one hundred green peas and cook them for dinner just as hot as I please. And right after lunch I shut up my house and walk down the road in my Sunday best blouse. Down Weenie Wen Road and far, far off to visit my good friend Nemo the Dwarf. And Nemo and I whatever the weather go fairying in Weenie Wen Woodland together. Now the rest I can't tell, tis a secret you see, tween the Weenie Wen Fairies, and Nemo and me. But at eight by the clock I'm back in my room, just sweeping it out with my little brown broom. Then I sit by the fire and warm my old head and at ten by the clock I jump right into bed. Thus spoke the old woman who lived all alone, Peenie Pen Peenie Pen Peenie Pen Pone. |

Subject: Does anyone know the poem 'Peenie Pen Pone' From: mladame Date: 16 Jun 99 - 01:28 PM I am looking for a Irish or Welsh children's poem. I think that it starts with "Peenie Pen, Peenie Pen, Peenie Pen Pone. Is a little old woman who lives all alone." If you know this, where could I find a copy of it? |
