Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Trail Dust From: Jim Dixon Date: 04 Jan 09 - 01:56 PM Open Mike: Did you listen to the song to confirm it is the right one? BMI.com lists 5 different songs called TRAIL DUST: one by Bill Emerson, one by Andy Parker, one by "De Savis/Nale/Scrogin", one by Lou Wayne, and one by Roy Hammer. There are several artists at CD Baby that have recorded songs called TRAIL DUST, but they don't seem to be the same song, and the site doesn't give information about origins: From Saddlestrings, "Somewhere in the Middle of Wyoming": ...God knows the reason why. I often think about you when the sunset lights the hills. You probably remember me when you take your headache pills. They say blood is thicker than water, But trail dust is thicker than blood. When you look back.... From Moriss Taylor, "Volume III": ...Trail dust (trail dust) trail dust (trail dust) Always there all day long, Choking me (choking me), cannot see (cannot see), This trail dust is my destiny. Out on the desert plains.... |
