Condolences to Ian and Lorna. I was privileged to be at Ian's album launch about 14 years ago in Digbeth, and I sat chatting with Betty for some time. There was then a bit of a sing-song, and I remember her singing "A Bunch of Thyme". She held the room! She was a lovely lady.

Can I please inform people that Betty Campbell passed away on Tuesday 6th of January 2009. Betty was Mother of Ian and Lorna Campbell and with her late husband Dave was a stalwart of the folk scene in and around Birmingham and the West Midlands of England. She was well loved and will be sorely missed by all the many friends she made down through the years.
