Thanks, Guest. These are easier for the song harvestors to find if you change the subject line, like I did for this post, to say ADD: [song title].

So I added line breaks too. We usually show the chords separately from the lyrics, also. (It's all described in the FAQ, how to post songs.)

This song is so pretty I think I can hear the melody even tho I have never heard this song. I look forward to playing it!

See also the thread on Aeolian Harps, for more on wind making music.

==================================================

THE WALTZ OF THE WIND
Fred Rose

You were there in my arms,
Alone in the moonlight
The trees played the waltz of the wind
It was there that I knew
I'd love you forever
As we danced to the waltz of the wind.

CHO:
The stars up above you
Looked down in your eyes
And told me the night would never end
Now I'm dreaming of you,
Till we meet tomorrow
And dance to the waltz of the wind.

REPEAT CHORUS

CHORDS
[C]You were there in my [C7]arms,
A- [F]lone in the [C]moonlight
The trees played the waltz of the [G7]wind
It was [C]there that I knew
I'd [F]love you for- [C]ever
As we danced to the [G7]waltz of the [C]wind. [C7]

CHO:
The [F]stars up a- [C]bove you
Looked [G7]down in your [C]eyes
And [F]told me the [C]night would never [G7]end
Now I'm [C]dreaming of [C7]you,
till [F]we meet to- [C]morrow
And dance to the [G7]waltz of the [C]wind.

I found the lyrics, with chords at Cowpie. I wasn't aware that it was a Hank Williams song! Click Here

The stars in the moonlight looked down in your eyes
and there in the moonlight I knew
So I'll say goodbye til we meet in the moonlight
while the trees play the waltz in the wind...harpgirl

Starting this to help 'gmc' find a song:

This is an old old song, I would guess that the song might be "Waltz of the Wind" But the lyrics are

It was there in your arms all alone in the moonlight
The trees played the waltz of the wind,
It was there that I knew I would love you forever,
And the trees played the waltz of the wind.
The stars up above look down in your eyes
And told me that the night would never end,
I'll be dreaming of you till we meet tomorrow
And dance to the waltz of the wind.

I think it was one he learned as a child living in Texas, but that's all the information that I have.
