Thanks everyone and sorry I haven't been active on the thread...hardly been on the computer the past week.

I'd LOVE Pig Dyke to come, they are brilliant. I'll make a note for next year. Not a bad idea to start talking about next year even though we haven't yet reached this year's event.

Anyone who does want to come should be able to contact the appropriate member of the committee through the website (I hope!) if not, tell me and I'll pass messages on

I don't think you invited Pig Dyke Molly but as Mary and I have a band gig on the Saturday night we wouldn't be able to come this year. It would be a shame to miss it - how about Pig Dyke for next year?

You should try Stone Monkey, you should also have Doug Eunson and Sarah Matthews on your lineup. They are both based around Derby and are EXCELLENT.
JohnB, who's side Orange Peel Morris will come if you pay the busfare, it's a long way from Canada.

I've emailed John Mac Donald of Bacchanalia and Erik Bellamy of the Witchmen plus Bill Wilkes from Gran Union Folk, so there may be some joy there.

Thanks Rosie. That's basically why I've put this thread up. Dave, who is running the festival, sent out invitations to heaps of Morris sides but a lot have people away at that time of year and he is beginning to panic so he asked me if I could ask around among my many contacts and see what I could do.

Someone's just suggested Herbaceous Border...don't know why I hadn't though of them myself. So I'm going to contact Sue.

You could try The Morris Federation website. Their Sidefinder pages give contacts to local sides & a variety of Morris traditions.

Many Sides already have a full programme by this time of year, but good luck anyway.
