Dave the funeral is on next Friday. Not sure of whereabouts but you would be able to find out locally. I think she was living in Whitley Bay or thereabouts.

I'm so sorry to hear this as we were such good friends from the early days of the Royal Turf Folk Club, Felling on Tyne to my moving from the North East twelve years later. I have only seen her once since then. She was a fine singer with 100% dedication to the music. Condolences to the rest of her sisters.

I am very sorry to report that Lesley passed away last Wednesday 4th February after a long illness. People may remember her as one of Briggs sisters from Gosforth in Newcastle where they used to perform as "the Brigands" singing in 4 part harmony. That was in the late 60's.

She died peacefully after a long illness.
