Hi Jeri
I tried to sign up on the list but for some reason I couldn't get past all the directions & ended up only being able to recieve e-mail. I can't e-mail the list but I can e-mail individuals, which I don't & won't do.
It seems as if the future of the list's home was in doubt but I believe they just may have gotten an extention.

Barry, you signed up for the (e)mail list but all you get is e-mails. That's what's s'posed to happen--unless you meant you can't send e-mails.

Facebook seems like a good idea, IF people can't say what they want to for some reason. I was on Ballad-L for some years, and I didn't really see a need for another format. Then again, a place to swap tune files or photocopied things might be useful.

I've been a Ballad-List lurker for ages, not being able for some reason to sign onto the list itself, I get e-mails. I was delighted that they put up on facebook but it seems that that's not where the membership wants to be. So what's the outlook?

A new group on facebook- Ballad Scholars
This group will provide multi-dimensional support for the ballad-L
e.mail list.

It will be totally separate from the list but will be a place where discussions can be illustrated and extended with video etc...and places to post longer selections than would be appropriate in e.mail.

So find facebook
search for Ballad Scholars
and join! Free
