I've just watched "You're Gonna Miss Me", the documentary about Roky Erickson of the 13th Floor Elevators that was made a few years ago. It's very rare that a music documentary actually makes me blub, but this one did. Roky came across as possibly the nicest man in rock. A beautiful film about psychedelia, mental illness, family life and triumph over adversity. And a shed load of clips of Roky performing as a bonus. Go and watch it, I urge you.
