Islands Folk Festival north of Victoria about 45 minute drive the weekend of July 23, 24, 25th lot's of folk music with just about any slant you want and often lots of jam sessions in all kinds of nooks and crannies.

Margarita, Esquimalt is about 60 mi south of Vancouver, across the Strait of Georgia on the SE corner of Vancouver Island.

When you get to Victoria, drop into O'Beans Cafe on Fort Street. This is headquarters for a couple of great Irish groups in town. If there are any open sessions happening, you'll be able to make connections there.

If you're coming to Esquimalt you must be in the navy, Ron. Am I right??
