I have been wanting to remark (I have argued at some length in a "G" related thread) that I did not feel that the original posting in the Aussie band thread justified the reaction to it. Yes, it was a bit gratuitous but it was obviously tongue in cheek and designed to elicit response. Do we have to be quite so PC? So this thread seems a good place to say that it is easy to be offended and not always justified.

I won't direct you to specific threads, but I suggest you go to the Forum search and type in gargoyle where you see the blank field labelled UserName. I would also suggest you read Max's recent postings on the Max is Taking Action thread.

Most of us will be happy if you do not "refresh" any of those threads by posting to them. They are a nightmare for many of us.

I guess Max has done the right thing in removing one of the forum members. I was on vacation, apparently missed the attacks in question and didn't realize the situation had gotten that bad.

All that I have seen is overstated, stubborn opinion, not the apparent vitriol that Max and others have mentioned, that which precipitated the departure of member X.

I'd appreciate it if someone would point me to one or more of the threads in question. My curiosity is getting the better of me.
