Subject: Review: Bella Hardy Concert Sheffield From: Folkiedave Date: 14 Nov 09 - 12:52 PM Bella, Chris Sherburn and Corinna Hewat played at the Upper Chapel Sheffield last night. If you don't know the venue, it is a an early 18th century chapel with superb acoustics. There were a few family and friends because Bella comes from just up the road at Edale. The show wasn't a sell-out but although it wasn't low cost by any means - there was an estimated (by me) audience of around 200 including a lot of younger people (who got in for £3.00). Much of the material came from the latest record ("in the Shadow of Mountains") and was exquisitely performed. The next folk style concert there (December 19th) is already a sell-out. |
