...hi Chet...I've been considering going to Clifftop this year although it is a haul from north florida. I am taking that weekend off and looking for a fun festival...I'll look for you and other mudcatters if I go. I have a white ranger truck with a camper top and I'll take a mudcat sign....anyone have any suggestions about how to be comfortable at Clifftop? harpgirl l

No, but I wish I were. Numerous people that I know think that it is just about the best place there is for old time music. Don't know if you frequent the rec.music.country.old-time newsgroup or not, but just in case you don't, here is the url via deja.com. Though there are other ways to get the info, that is how I choose to do it. I don't see any Clifftop references on the front page today, but a search turned up a whole batch.

I'm going to the Clifftop Festival in West Virginia August 5-8 (it really starts on the 4th). I've never been but I've heard nothing but good about it. The emphasis seems to be on old-time music. If you're there I'd be pleased to meet you. I'll be carrying an old black Gibson mandolin and an old black Gibson guitar. Hope to see you there.
