By coincidence, my friend Ken who lives a few miles from Leiden was staying with us before the weekend. He says that the Tretger is more blues and country than Celtic now, and that the only other one in the area he could think of offhand is an acoustic open mike thst he didn't even bother writing down the name of. Bad news it seems.

These guys (click) sing sea songs, but they should know - there are two e-mail addresses on their contact page. The brother of a friend of mine was a member of Zeemanskoor Rumor di Mare uit Leiden.

There is no session at the Tregter in Leiden on Sundays. It's now held one every two weeks on Tuesdays.The next one is this Tuesday 29 June.
Might even go m'self if the weathers nice. but I have a problem , I play snooker ever Tuesday afternoon then have a few!!! Drinks afterwords... 'nough said.

It is time I went there again. It is the home of Gouda cheese, I was told, along with Bodegraven. I used to visit a mate in the small town of Bodegraven. Gouda and Leiden are both places I would like to see again.

I am not able to say if it still happens, but worth checking out.

I seem to remember that there was a session on Sundays in Leiden - can anyone help me regarding this ?
