Hi...I grew up in Memphis, but now live in San Diego. If you're there over a Friday night, see if they're having the Lucy Opry in Lucy, Tennessee, just north of Memphis. Also, contact Yarbrough's Pickin' Post on White Station Rd. in east Memphis and see when their weekly jam session is. I think it's Tuesday nights.

And be sure to get some barbecue at Corky's on Poplar!

..my old pal Bill Erskine is a fixture around the Memphis folk scene...also Irish sessions! He's a blast! I'll check with him to see what's happening musically that week. But it might be when everyone is at the Bean Festival in Mountain View....a musical experience not to be missed when in Arkansas! harpgirl

I'm going to Memphis, Memphis, Memphis in October for a business trip and wonder if there are any Mudcateers there who I might hook up with.

I'll be there Oct. 12-18 (and will be on the road for my birthday Oct. 13. Bummer!)
