Gosh, I was very shouty back in September... must've been having a bad day. :)

The Bath Festival did happen, lots of concerts and workshops I believe, though I wasn't able to attend, so can't report. I have a feeling it didn't break even, but it seems to be happening again this year.

And this year the Bristol Folk Festival takes place (for the first time in 30 years I think). Info here Bristol Folk Festival

This new and exciting folk festival offers concerts, workshops and opportunities to play folk music in this vibrant and culturally rich city.

From August 7th-15th 2010, Bath will play host to over 17 concerts, an Irish music summer school, plus many workshops in music and dance from various folk traditions, as well as many informal sessions.It will take place in various venues around the city.
