Subject: Very old folk song

Greetings, i am looking for the words to a very old folk song. My father-in-law remembers some of the words from a child. He is 80 now. The name of it could have been "Alone in the Park". IT was about a robbery, and the boy in the park that was afraid to go home.. part of the song went: home, home sweet home.. and this much of it had the same tune as home sweet home. The chorus only. The rest of the song had a different tune. Has anyone ever heard of it, or does anyone remember it, who sings it, etc., etc., Any information about it at all would really be appreciated. Especially the name of it. It would mean a lot to him / and to me to be able to solve this lifelong mystery for him. Best Wishes, Rhonda
