Subject: Traditional Music Library? (British) From: GutBucketeer Date: 24 Sep 99 - 12:07 PM I came across a reference to the "Traditional Music Library" in the Banjo Newsgroup. It seems to be several CD's of tunes and songs that can be purchased for 15 pounds each (or 3 for 10 pounds each. They are designed for begining musicians to play along with and provide the score, chords, and words (if available). Supposedly they are set to play at three different speeds as well. Here is the Website. http://WWW.PDSL.COM/ I am learning old time banjo and it seems that these are just what the doctor ordered to help me along. The tune lists match most of the tunes/songs that I am trying to learn in the beginning banjo books I have. My question is especially to our British Mudcatters: Has anyone seen and used these CDs? Were they helpful? Did the software work ok? Are there any other alternatives that allow you to play along at different speeds, show chords and tabs, etc. JAB. |
