Subject: RE: free music on myspace radio From: Stewart Date: 27 Jan 12 - 12:23 PM That's interesting. I happen to be a fan of Niamh Parsons. Her Myspace site has 84 complete tracks! (click All Songs and A-Z and you'll see them listed) - most every song she's recorded I guess. I still have most of her CDs and would quickly buy a new one - I would rather have the physical thing and the higher quality of a CD over a mp3. Yet it's pretty neat to be able to listen to her songs as I work at my computer. Sometimes, however, I hear a new artist that I might be interested in, but when I look at the web site there are not even any 30 sec. sound bites. That doesn't encourage me to take a chance and order a CD. I admire the generosity of artists who are willing to share their music, and I will often return that generosity by buying a CD. Cheers, S. in Seattle |
Subject: Free Music on Myspace Radio From: GUEST,wayfarer Date: 26 Jan 12 - 04:39 PM Has anyone noticed that you can now listen to virtually any song in it's entirety on Myspace. Unlike Amazon, that only lets you hear the first 30 seconds of any track, Myspace lets you listen to the entire song, create & save playlists, etc. So why would anyone buy anything anymore if it's already so easily available with a few mouse clicks. Just go to Myspace Music, and search by artist and/or song and it seems you can find and listen to almost anything. Yikes, no wonder the record industry is freaking out! |
