Subject: RE: info Louisiana Lullaby From: MMario Date: 19 Oct 99 - 12:47 PM well - it was a plane, it's a cocktail, and according to the Sam DeVincent Collection of Illustrated American Sheet music it is credited to Ernie Erdman as an African American Song 1900-1922. that's all I could find. |

Subject: info Louisiana Lullaby From: bet Date: 19 Oct 99 - 12:20 PM Hope someone out there can help me with information on Louisiana Lullaby. I have the words, melody and chords I just need some history on the song. I guess it's obvious that it came form Lousi. but what else? My classes are doing folk songs from all 50 states as part of our celebration of year 2000. We are plotting on a large map. They've become pretty involved and are not to happy with me if I tell them only where it came from. I think it came about in 1928 but that is all I have. Add more if you have anything, please. bet |
