As for Fairport lyrics, there are a few at Richard Thompson's website (when you are there, click 'records', then 'Fairport'. However, at that site there's neither this song nor the other you are looking for at this time, Mary. But perhaps another...

Thanks for the ideas. If you don't mind posting the URL's to the Fairport sites that would be great...I didn't have much luck with my search.

I shall see about jotting down some of the lyrics later. Now I need to feed my 2 year old.

SIS, I found a couple of sites for Fairport, but none of them have lyrics. I'll post the URLs later, if you'd like - I'm sort of rushed now.

If this is a new song, I'm not familiar with it. If it's traditional, or by someone other than a Fairport member, posting some of the lyrics may help. People may be familiar with the song as done by someone else.

Not much help, but I thought it would be a shame to have your question drop off the list with absolutely no replies.
