Subject: 3 Different Songs From: polley@rand.lcl.lib.ne.us Date: 20 Nov 99 - 03:07 PM Hello: We have 4 requests from 3 different patrons here at the Polley Music Library for songs. We have exhausted all of our resources. Please email us if you think you might have a clue or an answer for us on any of these: 1) From a Pentecostal hymn book (?), the lyrics go something like this: The drink I'll use will not be wine However sparkling it may be For in it lurks the adders sting With fangs I may not see Chorus: From alcohol and poison free My drink shall pure cold water be. 2) Patron knows this song is not "Apple Blossom Wedding" but doesn't know what it is. All she has is one line which she thought was the title: Will you marry me in apple blossom springtime? 3) Same patron is also looking for a song (not "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White") with the lyric: I found a peach in New Jersey (in apple blossom time). 4) Finally, a customer is looking for the song "There is a manger in the sky" for a friend. Is this really a song? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Please email as well as posting; I'm not sure when I'll be able to come back here regularly to check on the answers.
