Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Featherbed From: Dale Rose Date: 24 Nov 99 - 06:30 PM My guess is that what is wanted is Feather Bed by Cannon's Jug Stompers ~~ it's on the Anthology, and also on the complete works of the Jug Stompers on Yazoo. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Featherbed From: Stewie Date: 24 Nov 99 - 06:20 PM You are probably looking for 'Feather Bed' recorded in 1928 by Gus Cannon. If so, you'll find it on Cannon's Jug Stompers 'Complete Works 1927-1930' Yazoo CD 10832/3. There is also a nice version on Stephen Wade's latest album 'Dancing in the Parlor' County COCD 2721. The track has Wade on banjo and Mike Craver from the Red Clay Ramblers on vocal. Wade's CD is magnificent and no lover of banjo music should be without it. Cheers, Stewie. |
