Subject: RE: Biff Baillie - Where are you From: GUEST,Dave Stenhouse Date: 18 Mar 12 - 09:53 PM I am not sure how this works and it has been a long time since this message was posted. I was the third founder member of the Guagers and I kept in touch with Biff after his moves to first Edinburgh, then back to St Andrews. I would see him every time I was back up in Scotland. He had become divorced, with two sons. Sadly I received a call, I think in the 80s from one of Biff's sons saying that he had died and my number was in his diary. A lovely and very talented man. I still miss him. I would like to catch up with Brendan. I still play the guitar and sing. E-mail: davidstenhouse@dhs-mcf.demon.co.uk Telephone 07714 324 365 London 19th March 2012 |

Subject: Biff Baillie - Where are you From: Brendan McLaren Date: 19 May 97 - 12:45 PM I know this is not a lost and found column but there is a tenuous connection as the guy I am trying to track down was a founder member of the "Gaugers" an instantly forgettable group that bummed around London in the mid sixties. Dave Baillie, Biff to the rest of us, was born in St. Andrews and came to N London in the 60's. He later returned to Edinburg and lived in the Portobello area, after that the trail goes cold. I imagine he will still be involved in folk music some way or other. Is there anyone knows where he is? |
