Subject: RE: Vampire Shanty From: MoorleyMan Date: 06 Jan 16 - 06:58 AM It's not the same Vampire Shanty that I sing, although it sounds like it'll be worth the hunt (or maybe there's too much at stake?! - let's hope the quest isn't in vein!)... |

Subject: RE: Vampire Shanty From: GUEST,Eluned Date: 06 Jan 16 - 01:43 AM Sounds like "Filk" music, traditionally (since the 60's) sung by and around science fiction/fantasy fans. They take known tunes and put new words to them with sf/fantasy themes. Seek ye sf conventions, look ye among sf fans, and ye may find it! |

Subject: Vampire Shanty From: Jack Campin Date: 03 Jan 16 - 01:36 PM Last week I heard an American singer do a parody of "Rolling Home to Old Maui" with words about vampires. He's gone back home and I can't get in touch. Anybody know it, got the words and know who wrote it? I don't generally go for parodies but this one was genuinely funny. |
