oh boy, PaddyMac. As screwed up as my musical life is right now I could use some friendly advice. How about a beer at the Warehouse Thursday night?

Jeez, Harpgirl - "Floidians" to "Floridians", no big deal. I was afraid it might turn out to be "Freudians".

That's my balliwick, I'm afraid. In addition to the foff List mentioned, foff has a web page and lots more details about Central and all-Florida folk events available at the Friends of Florida Folk WWW site at http://www.foff.org Look for "Continuing Events" & "Calendar" areas.

Also I send out a monthly notice with more details on all Central FL folkish events (there are no actual trad. venues) to anyone who sends me their e-mail address, name, city & phone number. About 380 people now.

There's also some Irish dancing club not associated with us if that's what you mean. I can put you in touch. No Irish sessions, per se, but the "tunes" groups are close enough.

I post my list three days before the last Sunday of each month. (12/23 in this case.)

There's also a couple on bars that book "irish" acts that can play loud enough to hear a little of over the talk & drinking.

Ask further...

...Tipper...try putting your request on the Friends of Florida Folk list

www.foff.org
Florida musicians use this list to communicate with one another as to musical events in Florida...the newsletter also has lists of regular jams, dances, radio music, and storytelling of interest to Floidians! Good luck!

We have a new member, Tipper, looking for Irish Sessions in Central Florida. Anyone around to help him? Tipper, since it's three ayem in Florida now, you may not get a response until tomorrow--just keep checking. The idea is to post your question in the thread title.
