Subject: RE: Anyone use an iRig Acoustic Stage live? From: Backwoodsman Date: 12 Aug 18 - 05:35 PM Here's an AGF thread which might be of interest? Reading the comments on that thread, from my own POV it doesn't sound like the best solution, but we're all different and have differing needs. It will be interesting to hear from others who have 'live' iRig experience. I'm pretty certain I know 'Some Bloke' in the real world, I'll be talking to him about the iRig. |

Subject: Anyone use an iRig Acoustic Stage live? From: Nick Date: 12 Aug 18 - 07:23 AM I mentioned this on another thread and thought I'd open a separate thread as to whether anyone has any experience of playing live with one of these? Or any problems? Thank you to the Guest,SomeBloke who commented Copied from other thread I have a guitar without electrics and do use an across the soundhole pick up which sounds OKish (it's a Fishman thing and my old Yamaha FG180 has an unknown odd piezo overbridge pickup on it which sounds...?). But it does have that "I'm not quite an acoustic sound" which probably bothers me more than it bothers people listening! So I bought one of these which sound ok but have never tried it at volume or in a live environment. There are examples online of it being played in live set ups A couple of demonstrations of the sound and there are plenty of examples out there. Potentially stops you being stuck with keeping close to mic the whole time! This one played with a keyboard and voice suggests it can play at a reasonable level - Example I have no connection with them. So it's not an ad for them |
