Yes! The 12th of July is the tune. Thanks so much for the lyrics. I couldn't quite get them all from the tape. Great song.

you were probably hearing Cathie Ryan, the former lead singer from Cherish the Ladies. she has a solo album out now (self-titled) with that song on it.

The song is "Twelfth of July" it has been mentioned in a few threads...none of which I can remember offhand..... (too much turkey dulls the brain)

I have been meaning to post the tunes to it for ages... I will in the next few days.....

When I was near Boston this past summer I taped a beautiful song off a local station broadcasting a celtic program. But I didn't get the name of the artist or song, although it might be Kate Rusby (??).

The hook line is "It's the everlasting green for me, and we for one another." Is anyone familiar with the tune, artist, and CD?
