We went to an amazing ItalIan restaurant in Bath last night (Sotto Sotto). As we were there right at the end of the evening we were able to chat to some of the staff, two chaps from Perugia and one from Napoli. They can't go home to visit their folks and their folks can't come here. Their distress was palpable. The uncertainty about the future for millions of people is one of the most poignant features of our present predicament. Awful.

my son is living in bari and put a wee film on facebook of his street,via crispi, singing together. it's lovely but i'd rather see them sing bella ciao than the national anthem. always for the people and not the state

I've seen several posts of people on their balconies in tall apartment buildings singing across the spaces. Great acoustics.

I like that idea, mg. The whole article is worth reading about the community spirit and the use of music to bring people together and raise their hopes and also fundraising for a local hospital.

Will post more when I refind it. Italy plans to sing and play..whole entire country I think at six pm. I still suggest we join them by singing Santa Lucia at six pm our time. Post links if you f find them.
