Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Apple Dumplings From: Ged Fox Date: 23 Sep 20 - 03:55 AM I heard it at a school 'Victorian' concert, in Diss, Norfolk, about 40 years ago. I've never heard it or seen a copy of it since. I think the duo(?) who performed it called themselves "Onion Jack." I do not know Whether they were an established group or whether they got together just for that occasion. I do not remember any of the verses, except that there was one which told that instead of confetti at the wedding they all threw apple dumpling. |

Subject: Lyr Req: Apple Dumplings From: Ged Fox Date: 22 Sep 20 - 08:38 AM chorus - "Apple dumplings! Apple dumplings, Such a lot I put away. Apple dumplings, apple dumplings, I could eat them every day. If they give me any other food, I'm full of growls and grumblings, But I don't complain, I'm right as rain With good old apple dumplings!" Verses? tune for verses? origin? |
