I’ve spend nearly 45 years focussed on Gaelic competitive singing, choral/ solo.

Pandemic has been a great opportunity for expanding my repertoire and genres in English language, connecting with song communities and now I sing, do workshops and even Guesting, across the English speaking world. During the pandemic period I’ve created a website and Youtube channel, released/ reissued 5 CDs and collaborated from America to Australia, as well as developed skills in zoom – I co-host a monthly Gaelic-only sing, ladies shanty crew etc. I have projects in planning that are going to take me til I can’t sing any more.

Dear friends, by kind permission of Joe … I zoom-sing as half of a transatlantic duo. As the Sillertides, we (Linn Phipps and Doug Huggins) have been working on a project with painter Lionel Coates.    Lionel has a major exhibition coming up at the Clare Museum on 14 March 2022, of paintings of Ireland with three distinct themes of Famine, Fields and Fishing.
