Thanks, cnd. You did an excellent job of transcribing a challenging set of lyrics - what with the two parts alternating and interweaving.

I like it.

Here's my transcription of the above YouTube video

LITTLE WOODEN CHURCH
(Walker)

Oh, it was in my childhood days, it was a-many years ago
Oh, with the spirit of my Savior, I was filled, oh yes Lord, filled
It was in that old fashioned meeting, you know the memories linger still
In that little old wooden church out -- where was it, boys? -- way out on a hill

Let me tell you, in those days, we didn't have fine automobiles to ride in like we do today
But we didn't mind the way we had to travel because we were going to work out our soul salvation
Sometimes the wind would be blowing, Lord have mercy, and sometimes the thunder would be roaring
Sometimes the lightning would be flashing, but we didn't mind the storm and rain, we would go on anyhow in Jesus' name
Sometimes when you would get almost there, you would hear somebody say "a charge to keep I have"
When you would hear that, it would always cause you to get in a hurry
And then you would hear some true-born soldier cry with a loud voice "I love the Lord"
Lord have mercy, you know, the spirit in the church in those days would be so high
It would always cause you to get in a hurry, it would always set your soul on fire
When that old fashioned preacher came out to lead a hymn
Then every heart that was in the church now with the Holy Ghost would fill
You know the people wasn't ashamed in those days, you'd see 'em all shouting
Praise God, seems like right now, God, I can hear them still
In that little old wooden church -- tell 'em where was it, boys -- way out on a hill
Maybe somebody didn't understand, you better say it one more time -- out on a hill
