My Grandmother taught me a song called James G. Blaine when I was younger. I believe that she may have had the tune a little wrong and she may have omitted a verse. I would love to have the correct version of this song. It begins:

When I was born 'twas a terrible time way down in the state of Maine.
If I knew they'd have another such a time I'd go back and be born again.
