Subject: RE: Tech: Martin Left Handed 12 string From: David C. Carter Date: 17 Jan 25 - 08:50 AM Thanks Ray.A friend did come up about selling it;There is the question cocerning nostalgia too. Maybe it's too soon to come up with some kind of solution.Things are kind of upside down at present every which way. But I'll take on board your comments. Thanks. |

Subject: RE: Tech: Martin Left Handed 12 string From: GUEST,Ray Date: 17 Jan 25 - 08:40 AM It’ll need a new nut and the bridge and saddle will need to be removed and replaced with one slanted the other way. Not an impossible task but unlikely to be cheap. I can’t be sure, but I suspect that the 12 strings are more heavily built than a six string so not an ideal conversion. It depends how much nostalgia is invested in the guitar as to whether he would be better selling it and buying the 6 string he wants. |
