Subject: Review: BBC What Happened to Counter-Culture? From: GeoffLawes Date: 07 Aug 25 - 05:00 AM Stewert Lee's new radio 4 series will be of great interest to many Mudcatters. Today's first episode places the uk folk revival of the 1950s in the centre of the emerging counter-culture and includes a long interview with Shirley Collins who talks about her experiences of folk at that time. She tells the story of how Dylan locked himself in the toilet at the Troubadour Club when the audience were less than impressed with his performance. Here is a link to BBC Sounds which might make it easy to listen to. nbsp; https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002gqy5 |
