Subject: RE: ??Help, re, 'Home in Dixie' From: Amos Date: 13 Feb 00 - 12:42 PM Sorry, but maybe you could just compare the scores, transposed to the same key. How hard is it to identify the similarities and differences between two tunes? But I am not familiar with "Home in Dixie". So I can't provide you with the deep insightful and authoritative answer you want. I do apologize, Sorcha. ":>) A |

Subject: ??Help, re, 'Home in Dixie' From: Sorcha Date: 06 Feb 00 - 12:49 AM I am involved in this on-going discussion/argument with a friend about "Home in Dixie" opposed to "Home Sweet Home". He says that "Home in Dixie" is a completely different tune than "Home Sweet Home". As near as I can tell, the only differences are that he plays it in C, I play it in G; and he plays dobro/guitar and I play fiddle. Any answers/ideas? |
